About the Role
As a Tow Truck Driver at Mr. Kitts Towing, you will play a crucial role in providing roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services to our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include towing vehicles, assisting drivers in distress, and ensuring the safe and efficient transport of vehicles.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Vehicle Towing and Recovery:**
- Operate tow trucks and other equipment to tow and recover vehicles from various locations.
- Assess the best method for towing different types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and motorcycles.
2. **Customer Assistance:**
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with vehicle owners and assisting them as needed.
- Offer guidance and support to drivers experiencing breakdowns or accidents.
3. **Safety and Compliance:**
- Ensure all towing procedures adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tow trucks to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of towing activities and vehicle conditions.
4. **Vehicle Handling:**
- Load and unload vehicles carefully to prevent damage.
- Use appropriate equipment and techniques to secure vehicles during transport.
5. **Communication and Coordination:**
- Maintain regular communication with dispatchers and follow assigned routes and instructions.
- Provide timely updates on job status and any issues encountered during towing operations.
6. **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Complete and submit necessary paperwork, including tow tickets and incident reports.
- Document vehicle conditions and any damage observed during the towing process.

Qualifications:
Valid drivers license with the ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory and drug free DOT Medical.
Proven experience as a tow truck driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of vehicle recovery techniques and equipment.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
Good physical condition and ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
Clean driving record and background check.
Working Conditions:
